5N/6D Leh Ladakh Tour
Day 1 Arrival in Leh
On arrival in Leh you will be met by your driver at the airport and transferred to your hotel. There are no activities planned for today, as today you will need to rest and acclimatize to the change in altitude and oxygen levels. Please avoid any exertion, and do take light meals only. In the evening you may take a short stroll around.
Day 2 Leh Local Sightseeing
Take an excursion to Sham Valley today visiting Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, the Confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers, Hall of Fame museum and Spituk monastery. At Magnetic Hill – it has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road, the vehicle slides up-hill. Also see the Hall of Fame Museum, built and maintained by the Indian Army. The Confluence at Nimu is where the rivers Indus and Zanskar merge, their two different colours clearly visible from above. Also visit the 15th century monastery at Spituk. After returning to Leh, the evening is at leisure.
Day 3 Leh to Nubra Valley ( Approx 6 Hrs)
Early in the morning, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla pass. Claimed to be the highest motor-able road in the world (5,602 metres), Arrive in Nubra valley and check-in. Afterwards proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder where you could also enjoy a camel ride (Camel ride on direct payment basis). The evening is at leisure for you to relax and enjoy your natural surroundings.
Day 4 Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake ( Approx 9 Hrs)
Post breakfast, you will be visiting Pangong Lake on the Indo-China border. One of the highest altitude saline water lakes, Pangong Tso will greet you with its changing colours from shades of blue to green to red. Spend the day exploring the surroundings of the Pangong Lake with the view of the Shyok river on one side and the mountains on another side. Reach campsite in evening. Overnight stay and dinner at a campsite near Pangong Lake.
Day 5Â Pangong to LEH (Approx 7 Hrs)
Post breakfast as you mark your way back to Leh, take a small stopover at the Chang-la Pass, which is one of the highest mountain passes in the world. Visit the Changla Baba Temple on top, Further, visit the Druk Padma School, famed for the movie ‘3 Idiots’ as the site where the last scene was shot. One can also visit the beautifully structured Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace en-route, if time permits. Reach hotel in evening. Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.
Day 6 Departure
Return to the airport for your flight back home.
